Join our 15-Day Sadhana—a yoga program for beginners and experienced students designed to start the year right and celebrate our community in the heart of Townsville.

What’s a Sadhana,
anyway?

Sadhana is just a fancy yoga word for “daily practice.” It’s about showing up, getting on your mat, and seeing what happens. Over 15 days, you’ll explore the transformative power of Ashtanga yoga, enjoy evening restorative sessions that feel like a hug in pose form, and take time out each day to contemplate and reflect. We will emerge ready for our year ahead feeling centred and fueled by the community.

A Practice for Real People

Consistency is key: We keep it simple, supportive, and fun.

Beginners: You won’t be turned into a pretzel or expected to be a pro. All we ask is that you are willing to try.

Experienced Yogis: We’ll challenge you to deepen your practice while reminding you that yoga isn’t about perfection (laughing at your wobbles is encouraged), but progress instead.

Morning Practices to Energise

Start your day with Ashtanga yoga, the practice Madonna made cool in the ‘90s (which, fun fact, is how Allison got hooked on yoga in the first place). It’s all about strength, mobility, and the occasional moment of “Wait, WHAT do you want me to do now?”

These classes are 5:45am Monday to Friday and 7:30am Saturday for 60 minutes.

Restorative Practices to Integrate

Restorative yoga, Yoga nidra and Guided meditations are where the magic happens. Think deep stretches, cozy lighting, lots of props, stillness and relaxation so good you’ll feel the calmer than you ever thought possible.

These classes are 5:45pm Monday to Thursday, 7am Saturday and 9:30am Sunday for 30-60 minutes.

Celebrating 15 Years of Being Townsville’s Yoga OGs

We’ve been doing this for a long time—since the days when people thought yoga was only for hippies and you couldn’t swing a reusable coffee cup without hitting someone who thought they couldn’t do yoga because they weren’t flexible!

We’re still here because we love what we do, we practice alongside our students (and because we have really good time doing it!)

What to expect each day:

Energise

As the sun rises, start your day with an energising practice based on the Ashtanga yoga primary series. 

Contemplate

Receive an inspiring email with resources on the daily theme including journal prompts to reflect upon during the day.

Integrate

As the sun sets, integrate the day with gentle slow flow, restorative yoga and yoga nidra to send you into a dreamlike state.

A Taste of the Sadhana Life

Day 1: Welcome Home

Kick things off with foundations of ashtanga yoga and learn how to breathe well. Feel supported, seen, and ready to dive into the journey ahead.

Day 7: Strength in Surrender

Who says yoga has to be serious? Expect playful poses, laughter, and maybe even a cheeky arm balance attempt for fun! 

Day 15: Anniversary Celebration

Wrap it all up with a restorative session that feels like a big yoga hug, followed by a breakfast together at a local cafe where we’ll laugh, share stories, and maybe even toast with coffee. Let’s celebrate!

Spaces are limited because we like to keep things intimate and personal (and because we like to help each and every one of our students – no hiding in the back here!)

FAQs

Perfect! Our teachers will guide you step by step through the basics and give you options when you need them. This is a challenge however we will be encouraging all levels to join and will cater to who is in the session.

You can join the full program for $99. Or you can pay as you go $25 per class. Members and Virtual Members join for free.

No worries! While the full experience is a game-changer, you’re welcome to take a few days off. However this is an experience, and we will prioritise those who can attend every day. Join us online on the days you can’t make it into the studio. Please ensure you cancel your bookings if you can no longer attend. 

We will run all classes live in the studio and live online.

When you go to book you will see the option to book in studio or livestream. Choose Livestream and your will be emailed the Zoom link before the class begins. After that session, you will receive a recording whether you are there for the session or not.

The 15 day Sadhana is about welcoming new students to the studio. We endeavour to ensure everyone is supported so if you have an injury yoga can be really great for your rehab. If you have something quite painful or chronic then please reach out and let us know via email so we can ensure this is right for you. It most likely is but we want to be sure we can give you the attention you need.

If you are generally well and don’t have any injuries but are just new or haven’t been on your mat in a while this is exactly the place for you.

All the classes are in our beautiful studio, 108 Denham Street, Townsville city centre. We will be livestreaming all classes via Zoom for anyone who is not local.

Yes all classes are recorded for you to take later each day if the times do not suit. Book online classes and automatically get the recording via email after the session. Please ensure you book time into your diary to take the class each day. wherever you are.

We want this experience to be inspiring and transformational and hope that you will join our studio as a member to keep the momentum going and join us for Term 1 and beyond.

We are excited for you to bring your friend! You will both need your own pass as the passes are not transferrable, non-refundable and do not carry over if you have not used your classes.
