Dani Ceccerelli

Dani discovered yoga after the birth of her first son in 1996. “I practiced Hatha and Iyengar Yoga until 1998, when I went to my first Ashtanga Yoga workshop. It was ‘love at first sweat’, and since then I has been committed to daily practice.

I was a direct student of the late Ashtanga Yoga guru Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and continue to study with his grandson, R. Sharath Jois, having made regular trips to Mysore, India, since 2001.”

Dani has  also studied with Manju Jois (son of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois), Greg and Tracy Cooper (Ashtanga Yoga School of Melbourne), David Williams, Mark Robberds, Matthew Sweeney, Simon Borg-Olivier, Peter Scott, and have frequented the schools of Eileen Hall (Sydney) and Iain Clarke (Brisbane).

“I feel that the strong physical practice of Ashtanga Yoga has the potential to open the heart and calm the mind, enhancing self-awareness and overall wellbeing. Even though it is a dynamic practice, it can be made accessible to many levels of physical ability, so that as many people as possible may benefit from this practice.” She is a well loved teacher on Magnetic Island and assists Allison with the Yogic Studies Immersion program.
